The saga that is Canoo has taken a turn for the better this week.

After the huge announcement of basing manufacturing in Oklahoma, the ups and downs of the stock market, the pandemic economic downturn, and volatile investor relations that almost (allegedly) bankrupted the company out ot the gate, Canoo has officially delivered their first vehicles to the state.

It's a huge win for the tiny company, and it seems the small bits of good news we've all been included in over the last year are only going to grow.

The love/hate relationship.

Naturally, as with any topic, Canoo and electric vehicles in general are somewhat taboo in the Sooner State. We're built on oil and gas, and people think electric vehicles are a threat to that long-standing legacy... but they aren't. After all, most of America's electricity is created with fossil fuels and the public still doesn't trust the idea of nuclear power.

On the flip side of that, EV's champion liberals are also filled with angst toward Canoo, but not because they don't think EVs will save the planet... Governor Stitt orchestrated the Canoo deal, so the left typically hates on the automaker by association with their unpopular governor.

The rest of the state differs and there's little to no common ground.

What's next for Canoo?

Just because Canoo is hitting this milestone doesn't mean the company is going to succeed. Like any publically traded company, their fate remains with investors.

Canoo stock is currently trading at +/-24¢ at the moment and the debate on a possible and positive future is raging among traders. Since the initial stock opening, investors have taken a pretty huge hit... but with the stock so low and things looking up, some are eager to hop back in.

Only time will tell what shall become of Canoo. For the sake of Oklahoma, thing positive thoughts.

The EV Models From Oklahoma's Automaker Canoo

Just about the time you suspect you're living in the final future of any vehicle design, someone comes along and tosses a wrench into the general expectations. In the same way that everyone almost universally hates the looks when GM pushes out a new redesign, acceptance has been pretty hot/cold with Canoo. Initial plans are to offer three different vehicles for now, with others to follow.

Check Out Oklahoma's Planned New Theme Park

American Heartland Theme Park is the latest huge investment announcement for the Sooner State. Slated to open in 2026 up in Vinita, it sure does look incredible from the renderings. With the project spearheaded by 20+ former Disney Imagineers, we'd expect nothing less than spectacular.
