
Much-needed Rain Is On The Way To Oklahoma This Week
After a dry spell and a few days of fire danger, Oklahoma finally has some legitimate chances for rain in its weekly forecast, including on Valentine's Day. Rain is expected to return to Oklahoma starting on Tuesday with the most significant chances over the weekend.
Light rain is expected to impact most of Oklahoma Tuesday evening and exiting Wednesday morning. Rain chances will return Thursday evening and continue into Friday, along with a cold front.

According to the National Weather Service in Norman, light rain chances will start in western north Texas Tuesday afternoon and will move northeast into Oklahoma by Tuesday evening.
Rainfall amounts are expected to be no more than .25 inches Tuesday. The rain is expected to exit the state by Wednesday morning.
Rain chances will return to Oklahoma Thursday night.
Wednesday this week will be dry, but rain chances will return to Oklahoma on Thursday. There's a 30 percent chance of rain Thursday night, and the rain chances will increase by Friday ahead of a cold front.
Oklahoma has a 90 percent chance of rain on Friday with a slight chance for thunder. Rain chances will also continue into Saturday after a cold front comes through. There's only a 10 percent chance of rain on Sunday.

This rain is a much welcomed Valentine's Day gift for Oklahoma. The state has been exceptionally dry since the fall and the drought has ramped up this winter. Almost the entire state is experiencing some kind of drought with pockets of Extreme Drought peaking through.
