People Are Convinced They Can Be Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders

Over the weekend, a docuseries about the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders premiered on Netflix. Now people across the internet are convinced that they can be a part of the DCC legacy.

"America's Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders" follows the 2023 tryout season for the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders. Thousands of women audition to be a part of the iconic team. Only a few hundred make it to in-person auditions in Texas, while just over 40 advance to training camp where the team of 36 is formed.

In the docuseries, you see rookies and veterans vie for a spot on the 2023-2024 DCC squad. There's heart. There's tears. And there's a lot of dancing. The docuseries gives glimpses of what goes on in the cheerleaders' minds and what it takes behind the scenes to shape America's sweethearts.

This isn't the first time for behind the scenes of the DCC to make television screens.

Most people are familiar with the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, but the first time people saw behind the scenes was when CMT debuted its show "Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders: Making the Team" in 2006. The show ran for 16 seasons, ending in November of 2021.

For those familiar with the show, the docuseries delivers some similarities but there are more in-depth looks into the behind the scenes of the Dallas Cowboys organization itself.

The internet thinks they have what it takes to be a Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders.

After watching seven hour-long episodes of girls struggling to make the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, people are convinced that they could be one of them. People have taken to TikTok to show of their skills by doing the choreography of the cheerleaders' signature dance to AC/DC's "Thunderstruck."
