'Twisters' was filming a scene where El Reno is in the line of a tornado.

Although the cast and crew was filming like a tornado was about to hit El Reno, a real severe Oklahoma thunderstorm was getting ready to hit the town. The crew had downtown El Reno set up with a fake farmers market and as they were getting ready to blast the area with wind from a jet engine, real severe thunderstorms winds struck the set, blowing everything away.

The cast and crew had to take shelter in nearby buildings as the storm blew through El Reno. Winds from 70 to 80 miles per hour were hitting El Reno as the cast and crew watched the set blow away.

Glen Powell, who plays one of the lead characters can be heard saying, "Man, I feel bad for set dec."
