You could be drawn for the hunt of a lifetime! Elk season will soon be here starting October 7th through the 10th then again on December 9th through the 12th. Applications are now being accepted for the City of Lawton's 2021 elk hunt.
At one time Oklahoma had a thriving turkey population, but it has since dwindled and has wildlife experts worried. Recently the Oklahoma Wildlife Conservation Commission met and voted to delay the next Spring turkey season (2022) to April 16th and reduce the bag limit to one tom per hunter. The same goes for the Fall season as well.
Applications are now available for the City of Lawton's 2020 elk hunt. If you are interested you will need to submit an application and have a valid Oklahoma hunting license. You can apply and submit your application anytime from now until the deadline which is 5:00pm CST on Friday, September 4th 2020 (09-04-20). The drawing for the hunts will be held on Wednesday, September 16th 2020 (09-16-20).
