Get ready Lawton, Fort Sill there's a new brewery and restaurant coming to town. The rumors have been officially confirmed Southwest Oklahoma Brewing will be opening in downtown.

If you've been anywhere near the corner of Sheridan and Smith in Lawton, Fort Sill lately you've probably seen all the construction going on. So what's being built there, another carwash or dispensary?

I'm not too sure just how many carwashes one town needs but obviously, we haven't reached that unknown number to date. It's been the running joke that every time someone breaks ground somewhere in Lawton everyone just assumes it's another car wash.

It's been two long years but the wait is over. Long John Silver's in Lawton, Fort Sill has officially reopened! The glorious news broke over the weekend that LJS on the corner of N.W. Cache Rd. and 26th St. is BACK!

It's been an empty lot for years and years but soon we could be seeing a new car wash at 1503 N. Sheridan Road in Lawton. While I'm glad that the lot will no longer be empty, do we really need another car wash in Lawton?

So what new businesses would you like to see open at the 'Scissor Tail Point' shopping center on N.W. Cache Road? We all have a wishlist of different companies or stores we'd love to have in town. From retail to restaurants, even some fast food places we don't have. So how about you?

The old Super 9 Motel at 1201 N.W. Cache Road in Lawton, Fort Sill has been torn down. It didn't take long for demo crews to bring the old motel down, all that remains now is a pile of rubble. That too will be gone quickly as they're picking it all up and hauling it off.

The wait is almost over for the new Taco Bell in Lawton, Fort Sill. It's really starting to take shape now and will be open soon!

Earlier this morning Bluepeak broke ground in Lawton, Fort Sill out on the west side, near the corner of Cache Road and 82nd Street. Get ready for high-speed fiber optic internet in Lawton, OK! Work will begin immediately and they hope to start servicing customers with up to 5-GB internet by this Fall.
