Today we feature a group that has been around country music for awhile, preparing to celebrate their 50th anniversary as a band, a run that started out under the band name Itchy Brother.

1954  A Slight Miscalculation On Management's Part Elvis Presley makes his only appearance on the Grand Ole Opry, singing "Blue Moon Of Kentucky" at Nashville's Ryman Auditorium. Opry manager Jim Denny allegedly tells him not to give up his day job.
