While our humble Wichita Mountains often catch rolling eyes, it's still a great thing to see people out in nature, living up the beauty SWOK has to offer.
While it's hard to tell on film, the fall yellows and oranges are starting to finally show up in the Wichita's. Within the next week or two, it should be prime for driving.

The Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge and the Association of Friends of the Wichitas will be conducting "Fall Foliage Walks” on November 9 and 16. Interpreters take participants for a one-mile walk through a forested canyon. Participants will enjoy the chance to view the autumn colors of red, yellow, orange and brown as leaves begin to change with the season.
Longhorn Mountain is located in the beautiful Wichita Mountains in Southwest Oklahoma. It is about to be destroyed by the rock company Stewart Stone. A representative from the rock company states they "will begin blasting by the end of this summer." We need to STOP them!
