It's back! The Apache Rattlesnake Festival returns for it's 37th year tomorrow (04-15-21) and runs until Sunday, April 18th (04-18-21) in Apache, OK. If you're looking for something to do this weekend, you won't want to miss it! Unfortunately last year was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic so this year will be bigger and better than ever before. Get ready to get up close and personal with live rattlesnakes, enjoy carnival games, food, drinks and tons of great vendors. There's even going to be guided rattlesnake hunts and live entertainment throughout the festival. Plus, don't forget the HUGE flea market!

It's awesome to have the Apache Rattlesnake Festival return. For as long as I can remember it's always been an annual tradition with the family and a great way to kick off the Spring/Summer. The festival is not only a good tome, it's all for a good cause. The money raised goes to fund all kinds of projects and assistance to various charities, non-profits and even persons/families in need. The festival also ensures that rattlesnakes aren't overpopulating and endangering people or other wildlife like livestock in the area.

Have you ever tried rattlesnake? Now's your chance! You can order up and eat some fried rattlesnake, it's pretty good too. It's kind of tastes like fried chicken gizzards, at least to me it does. I know, I know all wild game seems to tastes like chicken whenever you ask someone one what it tastes like, but this time it's accurate. I like it and to be honest most people order it just so they can say they've eaten rattlesnake. You can also learn a great deal about these snakes at the festival and if you're brave enough enter the snake pit!
