The New ‘Prometheus’ Trailer Looks Even More Like ‘Alien’

One of the big statements director Ridley Scott has made about his upcoming horror thriller “Prometheus” is that it’s got almost nothing whatsoever to do with the first “Alien” movie.

Aside from, as this trailer tells us, like, everything.

If you haven’t seen Scott’s 1979 classic, it’s about a group of people aboard a mining ship. They go to a mysterious planet, find a creepy spaceship with a dead elephant-looking alien nicknamed the Space Jockey in it, discover a bunch of alien eggs, and absolutely nothing else happens. Look, the movie’s been out for more than thirty years, if you don’t know the plot, we’re assuming you’re new here.

Anyway, despite Scott’s proclamations to the contrary, and whether or not it really has anything to do with the “Aliens” franchise, it still looks awesome. Are you going to see it?
