‘The Voice’ Coaches Put Their Spin on Queen and David Bowie’s ‘Under Pressure’ [VIDEO]
Nothing quite says “pressure” quite like the last night of competition on a nationally televised singing competition — so it’s only fitting that the four judges of NBC’s ‘The Voice’ came together to duet on the Queen and David Bowie classic ‘Under Pressure.’
The quartet — Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, Cee Lo Green, and Christina Aguilera — took the stage for a loose version of the song, starting off in unison before Shelton, Levine, and Cee Lo took turns soloing at the mic. Aguilera, naturally, added plenty of melismatic vocal runs.
Will the new version make anyone forget the original? Probably not, but it was a fun way to kick off the final round of the hit series’ debut season. Maybe next year, they can cover Billy Joel’s ‘Pressure’?
