The Wild Feathers Debut Acoustic ‘Big Sky’ Performance Video [Exclusive]
The Wild Feathers keep the tight harmonies, but ditch the backline during this "Big Sky" acoustic video. The "new" country quartet sit in the round to deliver a intimate performance of a song from their upcoming Greetings From the Neon Frontier album.
A tad slower but as energetic as the studio version, this acoustic sampler from the project is the result of eight years together, touring and recording and touring some more. Recently signed to Warner Music Nashville, Ricky Young, Joel King, Taylor Burns and Ben Dumas have found success on satellite radio, snagging the coveted Highway Find slot on Sirius XM the Highway.
There's a '70s rock flavor to this song that promises to spill over onto the other nine tracks on From the Neon Frontier (June 29). The Eagles are the easiest comparison to make upon a listen to "Big Sky." It's not just their layered vocals, but also the weave of their triple guitar strums and the start and stop nature of the melody that inspires memories of songs like "Seven Bridges Road."
Jay Joyce (Eric Church, Little Big Town, Brothers Osborne) produced the album. It's their third collaboration together, following a self-titled debut in 2013 and Lonely Is a Lifetime in 2016. Look for the Wild Feathers at select festivals this summer, including CMA Fest in Nashville in June.
