Top Oklahoma Christmas Parades You Won’t Want to Miss

One of my favorite Thanksgiving traditions is waking up to the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. I'm sure that's what most of us will be doing this Thursday as we prepare for a day of full bellies and giving thanks. So as you're watching the big parade on television, we figured we'd put together a list of the top Christmas parades in Oklahoma for you to browse during commercial breaks.

My family and I love a good parade, especially a Christmas parade filled with bright lights and holiday cheer. Lawton kicked off the holiday season early with its Holiday In the Park Parade on Saturday, November 19. I was honored to host this year's Christmas parade once again! The whole town always has a great time at this parade, and it's huge! This year's parade had over a hundred entries! It started in downtown Lawton, near Central Plaza, and made its way to Elmer Thomas Park where citizens got to enjoy Lawton's Holiday in the Park. This time of year truly is magical.

More of Oklahoma's top Christmas parades will take place the weekend after Thanksgiving, but most start the first weekend in December. Make plans with the whole family this holiday season to catch these festive parades in our home state!
