Will We See ‘Twisters’ Halloween Costumes In Oklahoma?

"Twisters" was the blockbuster hit this past summer, and Oklahoma was beyond proud of the film. On "Twisters" opening weekend, Oklahomans flooded to their local theaters to see the movie that was filmed in Oklahoma. Although "Twisters" wasn't a true sequel to the 1996 film "Twister," which was also shot in Oklahoma, Okies still deeply appreciated the film.

It's no doubt that when "Twister" premiered in 1996 that the film sparked the desire for several fans to become storm chasers or meteorologists. Some of those Oklahomans who are fans of the film and entered the weather profession got the opportunity to help out behind the scenes on "Twisters" when it was filming in Oklahoma.

During press interviews, the "Twisters" cast spoke several times of the meteorologists and storm chasers they got to work with during filming in Oklahoma. The cast even got the opportunity to go storm chasing for real in Oklahoma.

Just like its predecessor, "Twisters" has already inspired a new generation of storm chasers and meteorologists. After the movie was released to the public in July of this year, people all over the world posted on social media about their new dream of becoming a storm a chaser.

The excitement from "Twisters" was so intense that the National Weather Service in Norman hosted a special storm chasing training session for fans of the movie and for those who were inspired to begin storm chasing.
