With Lawton, Fort Sill being a Military town we get people from all over the world that come here and for a lot of them, it's the first time they've ever been to Oklahoma. Naturally, they have lots of questions and some concerns especially if all they know about the Sooner State is crazy weather and tornadoes.

If you're not from here you can see why others might be a little scared, or have some pretty funny ideas about Oklahoma and what it's like living here. I'm sure you've had your fair share of people asking questions or making hilarious statements if you've been in Oklahoma for a while, or are Okie born and bred.

You have to hit play on the video above from YouTube channel Nick Johnson. He does all these cool videos "Unboxing America" giving facts and funny commentary on what it's like to live in different states. This video "Unboxing Oklahoma: What it's Like Living in Oklahoma" is pure internet gold! Of course, it's loaded with all the usual funny assumptions about the Sooner State and all the stereotypes of people and lifestyles.

It's obvious that Nick Johnson isn't from Oklahoma, he may have never traveled to the state before so we get his out-of-state thoughts and assumptions which are hilarious. Don't get me wrong some of what he's bringing up and talking about is absolutely true.

Nick discusses tornadoes of course, but he also goes into all kinds of other funny subjects and observations. From land types, people, vehicles, accents, guns, churches to sports he covers it all. Most are accurate, others are way off. So if you're new to Oklahoma or planning to move here don't believe everything you hear or see about the Sooner State. It's still a funny video though.
