The Highlanders quest for the Gold Ball started this past Friday hosting Deer Creek Edmond in the first round of the Play-offs at Cameron Stadium. If you have not had a chance to see the Highlanders in action this year I will say you are truely missing one of the best teams this area has seen and will be talked about and discussed for years to come.

I have covered High School Football for the past 16 years and I would say I can count on one hand the number of times I have witnessed a team such as this one. Case in point last Friday nights performance of running back Darious Graham with over 300 yards in rushing and 4 touchdowns! Enough of my glotting.

Their accomplishments should speak for themselves...10-0 regular season record for only the second time in school history, City Championship, Distrcit Championship and one of three teams in 5-A with a undefeated 11-0 record throught the first round the others being Guthrie and Macalister.

This week the Highlanders have home field advantage again for quarterfinal action hosting Tulsa Bishop Kelly, who enter in after their three point win over Coweta 17-14. The Comets bost of a running attack in which the Highlanders front line will have to step up to the challenge of stopping this running attack.

This weeks game will be Friday night at Cameron stadium. The Highlanders need your help with you in the stands and supporting their efforts. We need the stands loud and proud for the Green, Black, and Gold. Steve and I will be bringing the game to you live and online if you have family and friends out of town and on radio pup on your smart phone.

Only eight teams remain from the pack of 32 and your Highlanders need the hometown support this week. See you at the game....and oh yeah I almost forgot. Hoka Hey!!!!
