MG Mark McDonald Announces Force Command NCO of the Year Runner Up in Today’s Fort Sill Update [AUDIO]

The Commanding General of Ft. Sill, MG Mark McDonald has returned from his travels and visited with the Morning Crew about several events taking place this weekend, and in the very near future at Ft. Sill.

  • Forces Command NCO of the Year Runner Up

Congratulations go out to the 2012 Forces Command NCO of the Year Runner Up, Staff Sgt Matthew Seelig.  Matthew competed with nearly 300,000 other NCO’s for this distinction.

  • Retirement Ceremony Scheduled

The bi-monthly retirement ceremony will be held at the Old Post Quandrangle tomorrow morning at 9am.  This ceremony is open to the public and are encouraged to attend.

  • Basic Combat Training Graduations

Two Basic training graduations are scheduled for tomorrow (Friday, July 27) as well.  They will be held at the Sheridan Road Theater.

  • Road to the Rock 1 on 1 Basketball Tournament

Rinehart Fitness Center is the location for this non intramural tournament.  The winner for each Brigade will compete in OKC at the Kind of The Rock Tournament

Movie on the Beach

The last Movie on the Beach was a huge success and the next on is set for this Saturday night.  The movie will be Jungle Book.  Watch a movie under the stars at LETRA Beach!

Other topics included in the Ft. Sill Update:  the Brad Paisley concert and new security at Ft. Sill gates to include Liscense Plate Scanners.
