Alabama ‘The Closer You Get’ KLAW Classic [VIDEO]

Today's KLAW Classic was the 10th #1 song for Alabama, but it was written by 2 members of another country group.

J. P. Pennington and Mark Gray, members of the group Exile, co-wrote the song 'The Closer You Get', and their band actually recorded it with limited success.  It was also recorded by Don King, (not the boxing promoter) before it reached success with the group from Fort Payne Alabama.

It was also covered by another country artists as well, Rita Coolidge. Here's today's KLAW Classic.
