Campbell Takes Two At The CMAs – Today In Country Music History [VIDEO]

Glen Campbell wins two honors, Entertainer of the Year and Male Vocalist of the Year, during the second annual Country Music Association awards at Nashville's Ryman Auditorium. Other winners on the night included Buck Owens' band The Buckaroos as Instrumental Group of the Year, Ben Colder for Comedian of the Year, Chet Atkins for Instrumentalist of the Year and Tammy Wynette for Female Vocalist of the Year.
Dolly Parton and Porter Wagoner took the Vocal Group of the Year, writer Bobby Russell took home the Song of the Year for "Honey" and Jeannie C. Riley the Single of the Year for "Harper Valley P.T.A."
Hosted by Roy Rogers and Dale Evans, NBC tapes the show for the first time for a November telecast
