Charley Pride ‘Why Baby Why’ K-LAW Classic [VIDEO]
The Tuesday K-LAW Classic was the #1 country song 30 years ago - February 26th 1983. It was co-written and originally recorded by George Jones. George released 'Why Baby Why' in late 1955 and it became his first chart song, peaking at #4 on the country chart. In '56 it was a #1 for Red Sovine and Webb Pierce. After Charley Pride took it to #1 in 1983, it became one of the few songs to reach the top of the country chart with two different versions.
