Today's KLAW Classic topped the CMT list of top love songs, just a couple of years ago. In honor of Valentine's Day, we thought we would share it with you.
Here's a little trivia on this classic song. The singer/songwriter topped the charts as the artist twice and three times as the songwriter. The song, 'I Will Always Love You', first written as a tribute to Porter Wagoner at the time that the writer Dolly Parton was ending her time as Porter's sidekick. It reached the number one spot the next year in 1974. It was included on the soundtrack to 'The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas', once again performed by Parton, and again topped the charts, this time in the 80's.
The final time to top the charts was on the pop charts, performed by Whitney Houston. It was from the movie and soundtrack for 'The Body Guard'.
