Results from damage surveys of severe thunderstorms and tornadoes that impacted Oklahoma on Tuesday, March 4 are coming in. So far, eight tornadoes are confirmed and seven of the tornadoes have been rated.

Most of the tornadoes from Tuesday, March 4 struck in eastern and southeastern Oklahoma. Five sperate EF1 tornadoes struck Ada, Union Valley, Henryetta and Morris. Two EF1 tornadoes impacted Henryetta. Two separate EF0 tornadoes hit Eram and Checotah. More damage surveys are being conducted on Wednesday, March 5.

The tornadoes occurred in the early hours of Tuesday morning. Most residents woke up to scatter debris, downed power lines and trees. Other towns saw homes flattened, roofs blown off and businesses destroyed.

Early reports indicated Ada was struck by three tornadoes.

After Ada was hit between the hours of 5 to 6 a.m. and early reports from local meteorologists indicated that Ada was struck by three tornadoes on Tuesday. So far, it has only been confirmed that Ada was impacted by one EF1 tornado.

The City of Ada has been posting regular updates on its official Facebook page. Following the severe storm, the City of Ada indicated that 5,000 residents were without power and 24 families were displaced. As of Wednesday morning, the City of Ada has reported that there are still 2,987 homes/businesses without power at the Red Cross is set up at a local church.

On Tuesday morning, News 9 flew its helicopter over Ada and documented significant damage to fields, trailer parks, homes and businesses throughout Ada. Some homes and businesses were either leveled or disheveled. Trees, cars and other debris were scattered throughout the area. And a clear line of the tornado's path could be seen, stretching through fields, forests and homes.
