Mission of Mercy will Host Free Dental Clinic in Lawton, OK
The Oklahoma Mission of Mercy is a collective group of volunteers that host a two-day dental clinic in a different Sooner State town each year. In 2024, the chosen town is the Southwest Oklahoma capital of Lawton.
Here's the long and short of it... Regardless of your age or financial situation, you qualify for free dental work during the OK-MOM clinic. You just have to show up.
The last time they hosted this event in Lawton, just under 1,800 patients received over 7,000 procedures absolutely 100% free. It equated to just under $1.34million of work in just two days.
Here are the particulars.
When is the clinic?
Friday and Saturday, February 9th and 10th at Great Plains Coliseum in Lawton, OK.
Who qualifies for free dental services?
Everyone. Literally, all ages will be seen... though some procedures will be unavailable (dentures, etc...) Parents will also need to remain with minors during the visit.
Are there any requirements?
There is a brief health screening, but it's nothing major. They'll be checking things like fever, blood pressure, etc...
What about insurance?
You don't need it. It's 100% free.
How long will it take?
OK-MOM suggests you plan to spend most of your day with them, but breakfast and lunch will be provided at no cost to you.
Se habla Espanol?
There will be several translators to speak a wide variety of languages at this event. No worries.
Can I volunteer?
Absolutely! OK-MOM is 100% volunteer and believe me, your help will be needed for such a good cause. You can find out about this and more on the official website.
