The Grinch Hits 25 But Skips Lawton Theaters This Year
One of my favorite Christmas movies is Dr. Seuss' "How The Grinch Stole Christmas," and I can't believe its been 25 years since the movie came out! To celebrate, there will be a national re-release of the film in movie theaters, but it looks like the movie theaters in Lawton won't be screening it.
Over the past 25 years, Dr. Seuss' "How The Grinch Stole Christmas," starring Jim Carrey, has become a holiday classic. It has definitely become a required holiday screening in my home with the grandkids during the holiday season.
But none of my grandkids were born yet when the movie came out in theaters in 2000. And I love to take my grandkids to the movies, so the opportunity to see this holiday classic on the big screen with my grandkids is such a unique holiday opportunity!

Movie theaters in Lawton won't be screening the re-release of 'How The Grinch Stole Christmas.'
Unfortunately, as of Wednesday, November 5, no movie theaters in Lawton will be screening the 25th anniversary re-release of Dr. Seuss' "How The Grinch Stole Christmas."
Tickets are currently on sale for the re-release, which will hit theaters on Friday, December 12. And so far, according to Fandango, the closest movie theaters to Lawton screening the film includes Cinemark Wichita Falls 14 in Wichita Falls, Texas, and Cinemark Tinseltown in Oklahoma City.
So it looks like only Cinemark movie theaters will be screening the 25th anniversary re-release of "How The Grinch Stole Christmas." The re-release will only be in theaters for a limited time, so make your holiday plans now!
