So where is this amazing 60s-retro motel? It's located at 820 N Classen Blvd. in Oklahoma City, OK. It was originally built back in 1963 and has been completely remodeled, refurbished, and reimagined. It's one of the most colorful and unusual motels or motor Inns in the state, possibly the entire nation. The Classen Inn.

The new owners of the Classen Inn have painstakingly rebuilt the old motel over the past couple of years. Instead of over-modernizing the place they decided to go in a different direction. Owners Aimee Ahpeatone and Steve Mason went with a retro-styled 1960s motif throughout the motel, both inside and out. They did an incredible job of it. They managed to update what was needed with all the latest and greatest amenities and features while keeping the 60s theme and charm in place. It's truly a one-of-a-kind stay you won't forget.

I had never heard of the Classen Inn before, luckily I stumbled across it while looking at places to stay in OKC. The family and I are planning a trip, oddly enough to the Flashback RetroPub arcade and wanted to find somewhere to stay that would add to the fun factor. It's turning out to be a full retro weekend in Oklahoma City. While browsing I came across the Airbnb listing for Classen Inn. Needless to say, it's perfect for a staycation, vacation, or weekend getaway. Looking forward to booking a stay. The wife and kids will love it.

We'll make the trip to OKC and visit the Flashback RetroPub which is a 1980s retro or vintage arcade.
