Oklahoma is Back in the National News Thanks to a Drunk Teacher

Well, here we are once again. Oklahoma has been thrust into the spotlight for yet another unflattering and ridiculous incident. For the love of God can we please attempt to avoid national news coverage for a while?

If you haven't heard about this most recent embarrassment, you're one of the very few. An elementary teacher in Perkins, OK. was busted for allegedly being drunk in class on the very first day of school and was arrested.

Every major and minor news agency and network in Oklahoma has covered the story over the past several days. Unfortunately for us, the word got out and now it's gone viral. Seems everyone is covering it now.

When it first happened I think we all hoped it would remain in the Sooner State. No such luck. Our only hope now is that someone in another state, probably Florida, does something stupid to get us out of the spotlight.

I guess it could have been worse, who are we kidding it has been worse, much worse. It just sucks that for some reason our state's most idiotic citizens always end up in front of a camera making us all look bad.
