While we enjoyed what Oklahoma would consider a mild start to summer most of July, how often have you heard someone say "I hate to think what August is going to feel like..."

Oklahoma is now paying the summer debt for the gentle month we've had. Highs across the state well above 100°, and it's only going to climb even higher over the next week.

On the plus side, and they've been tracking the data on this for two weeks now, there is a strong chance for a big cool-down to hit in mid-August.

Meteorologists across OKC and Tulsa say it'll feel like fall with plenty of rain during that time, which is always welcomed during the Dog Days of Summer.

June turned really hot. July started hot, cooled off, and is ending hot. August may follow the same trend, and I think most Oklahomans will be OK with that.

Keep in mind, if August does start to feel like fall, that will be First Fall. Then comes Second Summer, Second Fall, Last Summer, Actual Fall, then straight into the frigid Oklahoma winter... You know how our weather be.

Do Not Leave These Things in Your Hot Car in Oklahoma

While you would expect most of this to be common sense and general knowledge, you'd be amazed how many people found out the hard way there are some things you should never leave in a hot vehicle. Since we're knee-deep into another hot Oklahoma summer, it's worth mentioning to those who don't know.
