Just outside of American Airlines Center, a new billboard went up this week with a former Dallas Maverick and it looks like the team got it taken away.

Mavericks ownership continues to be embarrassing week after week. Yet, somehow they could be in all of our good graces if they just FIRED NICO HARRISON. The latest stupid move this organization has made is getting rid of a billboard that lies just outside of American Airlines Center. It's promoting the new season of Overwatch 2 that has a very familiar face.

In addition to being one of the best basketball players in the NBA, Luka Dončić is a top 500 Overwatch player in the world. If you play the new season of stadium in the game you can earn 77 (Luka's number) loot boxes. You can unlock things like new skins for your characters, weapon charms, and highlight intros to name a few. You can get loot boxes by playing the game, but 77 is a pretty cool promotion they're doing. They have put up billboards all over the world promoting this and it looks like one is no more. 

Luka Billboard Removed from Outside American Airlines Center

Just to the right of the Dirk statue this week, a digital billboard has been promoting Overwatch 2 and their 'Cowboys Never Die' campaign. According to NBA Insider, Arash Markazi someone within the organization got it removed from the billboard outside the stadium. Luka does use the cowboy character Cassidy, along with Hanzo and Roadhog. It's clear they wanted to use Cassidy for Luka because he's the only character in the game from Texas and they could have some fun using the former Maverick.

Some Overwatch players actually encountered Luka on the game a few years ago and the video went kinda viral. This was the first time people learned that Luka was not just a great basketball player, but a good Overwatch player as well.

I play this game every day and now see Luka on the home screen, every day. If he was still on the Mavericks, this would be awesome, but now it depresses me. Thanks Nico Harrison!
