Wichita Falls Water Park to Enforce New Policy After Viral Video
Wichita Falls police are currently investigating a fight that broke out at Castaway Cove Water Park this week and the park will be starting a new policy for parents as well.
It has been a hot week in Wichita Falls and many cool off at Castaway Cove Waterpark throughout the summer. This past Saturday, a fight broke out between some kids in the parking lot. Which lead to one kid being completed surrounded in the altercation.
Fight Breaks Out at Castaway Cove Waterpark
According to KAUZ, Wichita Falls police are investigating and they got a statement from the general manger of Castaway Cove, Steve Vaughn. “Castaway Cove Waterpark is aware of an incident involving several juveniles that occurred outside the park property on Saturday. Because this matter is currently under investigation by the Wichita Falls Police Department, it would not be appropriate for us to comment on the details or speculate about the circumstances. The safety and well-being of our guests and team members remain our highest priority. We are cooperating fully with law enforcement as requested and will continue to support their investigation. Castaway Cove remains committed to providing a safe, fun, and family-friendly environment for everyone who visits our park.”
Parents Must Now Be Present at Castaway Cove Waterpark, No More Dropoffs

I saw some people online claiming that Castaway Cove Waterpark is implementing a new policy. Anyone under the age of 14, must be accompanied into the park by someone at least 18-years-old. You will no longer be allowed to drop off your kids at Castaway Cove and come back later to pick them up if they're under fourteen. I called Castaway Cove to confirm the new policy and it is true. Many other Water Parks throughout Texas have similar policies already.
We will wait and see what the Wichita Falls police can find during their investigation.
