John Denver ‘Back Home Again’ KLAW Classic [VIDEO]
The Friday K-LAW Classic takes us back to 1974, and the first of three country #1's from John Denver. The song won Song of the Year at the 1975 CMA Awards. John Denver also won the Entertainer of the Year award that year, and that apparently didn't sit too well with Charlie Rich, the outgoing Entertainer of the Year. After announcing that Denver had won the coveted prize, Rich took out a lighter and set fire to the envelope in protest of what he considered the inappropriateness of Denver's selection.
The #1 song 38 years ago today - November 30th, 1974 - was 'Back Home Again' by John Denver.
