The Kiowa Tribe Is Giving Away Free Toys In Lawton, Oklahoma
It's been a hard year for parents. With the rising costs of groceries and other goods, being able to provide their kids with gifts this holiday season may be cumbersome. The Kiowa Tribe is hoping to help out tribal and non-tribal parents this Christmas by giving away free toys during a Toys for Tots event from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. today, Thursday, Dec. 19.
The gifts are pre-wrapped and are available for children from ages 0 to 17. The Kiowa Tribe requests that only adults 18 and older attend the event in order "to preserve the magic of Christmas" for children. The event will also feature light refreshments while parents select gifts for their children.
