With Urban Air Gone, Where Can Kids Play Indoors In Lawton?
When it's really hot, too cold or rainy in Lawton, Oklahoma, parents are always looking for fun, indoor activities for their kids. With the recent closing of Urban Air, the number of indoor play places in southwest Oklahoma continues to decline. So far, Lawton and the surrounding areas are left with six indoor recreation areas for kids.
Now that summer is tapering off, parents can start taking their kids to local parks again on cooler days. But this fall in Oklahoma could be a wet one, so those park days may be limited. Therefore on weekends and during fall break, parents will have to rely on the few indoor play areas for kids across southwest Oklahoma.
And as a Nana, with a mix of older and younger grandkids, sometimes when we have them on the weekends, we're also looking for a fun, indoor adventure!
Most of the indoor activities for kids in southwest Oklahoma do require either an entry fee or membership. There are very few free options for indoor kids activities in Lawton or the surrounding communities.
