
Oklahoma’s Fall Forecast: Dry Start With A Stormy Twist
Oklahomans may get lucky this year with fall weather! It may not be a cool fall, but Oklahoma residents will take fair weather over warm. And rain chances could ramp up by Halloween to finish out fall.
According to the Farmers' Almanac's extended fall forecast for this year predicts Oklahoma's fall will start out fair and dry but finish out wet. Even though fall decorations can now be found on store shelves already, fall won't officially begin until September 22 with the fall equinox.
September will start out dry and end with thunderstorms.
The Farmers' Almanac expects Labor Day in Oklahoma to be fair and dry, but as September continues, there will be a struggle between fair weather and thunderstorms with tornado potential. Cooler air may start to move into Oklahoma by the end of the month.

As October begins, Oklahoma could see cooler fall weather. But by mid-month, Oklahoma could see rain and gusty winds. As for Halloween, Oklahomans may want to plan for costumes that come with umbrellas as the day may start out wet but end with clear skies.

So far, 2025 has been mild and wet for Oklahoma. So could Oklahoma see snow in November? The Farmers' Almanac expects "unsettled conditions" for Oklahoma in November. Snow is expected in other parts of the state and in mountainous regions, but maybe some could make it into Oklahoma? We'll just have to wait and see!
The Farmers' Almanac predicts that the week of Thanksgiving could be a "meteorological mixed bag" that could make holiday travel difficult. But Oklahoma is expected to have clear skies for turkey time.
