One of the best events in Lawton for booklovers is the annual Friends of the Lawton Public Library Book Sale! The annual sale is planned for April 16-19 at Central Plaza in downtown Lawton.

The Book Sale is the annual fundraiser for the Lawton Public Library hosted by the Friends of the Lawton Public Library, which is a local nonprofit organization that help support the Lawton Public Library.

Dates have been announced for the 2026 Friends of the Lawton Public Library Book Sale.

As of publishing on Wednesday, February 25, the Friends of the Lawton Public Library have only announced the official dates of the 2026 Book Sale. The dates for the annual book sale were announced in the Lawton Public Library's month newsletter for March.

This year's sale is planned for April 16, 17, 18 and 19 at Lawton Central Plaza, formerly Lawton Central Mall, and home to FISTA. The book sale is typically located on the east side of Central Plaza.

More than books are available a the Friends of the Lawton Public Library Book Sale.

The annual Friends of the Lawton Public Library Book Sale is definitely a great event for buying used books. The sale often has many selections from several genres, including fiction, nonfiction, children's, classics, romance, mystery, thriller, history and more.

The book sale also sometimes has other items for sale, like vinyl, DVDs, VHS tapes, and puzzles. You never know what you're going to find each year!
