The Primary Election will take place on Tuesday, June 16, and residents in Lawton, Oklahoma, will have several key positions to consider on the ballot. This week, the Oklahoma State Election Board officially released sample ballots for the state, and we have broken down what Lawton residents can expect on the ballot.

On June 16, Lawton residents will vote on state, legislative, district, county and congressional officers, as well as local judges and one state question. Oklahoma has closed primaries, therefore Lawton residents will only be able to vote for state, legislative and county officer candidates within their registered party.

Lawton residents will cast votes for Oklahoma governor candidates, congressional and state senators and representatives, county commissioners and one district judge position.

The reason the Oklahoma State Election Board issues sample ballots is so residents know exactly what will be on the ballot before Election Day. Lawton residents have one month to study their sample ballot, and know exactly who and what they're voting on before Election Day on Tuesday, June 16.

Registered voters in Oklahoma can view their exact sample ballot on the Oklahoma Voter Portal. What will appear on individual ballots will depend on party affiliation and voter registration location. However, all registered voters will vote on State Question 832.

Below is what Lawton residents could potentially see on their ballots on Tuesday, June 16.
