School is out and it's time for summer in Oklahoma! One guarantee that summer has arrived is when the pools are open and ready for swimming. And the City of Lawton is set to open its splash pads and wading pools Memorial Day weekend!

The City of Lawton has three wading pools and two splash pads for residents to enjoy all summer long free of charge. Each location has different days and hours of operation but everything is set to open Memorial Day weekend, according to the City of Lawton website.

Below are the days and hours of each site:

  • Wading Pools - Open 1-5 p.m. Monday-Friday
    • 35th Division - located at 6th Street and Columbia Avenue
    • Harmon - located at 14th Street and Bell Avenue
    • Mocine - located at 9th Street and Douglass
  • Splash Pads
    • Clement Washington Sr. Splash Pad - located at 6th Street and Belmont
      • Open 1-5 p.m. Monday-Friday
    • Elmer Thomas Splash Pad - located in Elmer Thomas Park
      • Open 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Daily

Lawton's new water park set to open July 18.

Lawton residents should have a new addition to summer fun this year! The City of Lawton recently announced that the new water park in Elmer Thomas Park is set to open this summer on July 18. The new waterpark will have water slides, a lazy river, wave pool and more!

The City of Lawton will have daily passes ranging from $2 to $6 and season passes available from $50 to $150. More information about the water park and its grand opening date is available on the City of Lawton's website.
