As one beloved downtown OKC food truck spot closes, another one announces their plans to arrive and open up shop in Bricktown. Oklahoma's hottest tourist spot is welcoming Texas-based Truck Yard to the neighborhood.

The Truck Yard owns and operates a few food truck/bar/live music venues around Texas with locations in Dallas, The Colony, and Houston. Judging by the success they've encountered along the way, it's only natural they put another location by expanding into Oklahoma.

The whole draw, at least from what I can gather on social media is, The Truck Yard is an open-air outdoor bar that features live music and a rotating selection of choice area food trucks throughout a weekly schedule. As hot as food truck culture is at this specific moment in human history, it's sure to be a success if people don't forget about it due to the location. Yes, it's to be located in Bricktown, but it's off the beaten path.

While most people that visit Bricktown spend the bulk of their time walking around the fun stuff located centrally to the area just west of the ballpark, The Truck Yard is building out their newest location in the overflow south parking lot at Bass Pro. It's the lot you have to go under old I-40 to get to. It's pretty far off the walking path.

Then again, and I think this makes perfect sense, this out-of-the-way location will be pretty popular and will lead to us seeing Bricktown grow even bigger in that direction. What could go wrong? It's cold beer and drinks in a Texan picnic table beer garden surrounded by trucks that serve food next to a stage where live music will happen. If that's not the ultimate pinnacle of redneck fine dining, I don't know what is.

Don't expect it too soon. The OKC Truck Yard isn't set to open until June 2022.

LOOK: Best Beers From Every State

To find the best beer in each state and Washington D.C., Stacker analyzed January 2020 data from BeerAdvocate, a website that gathers user scores for beer in real-time. BeerAdvocate makes its determinations by compiling consumer ratings for all 50 states and Washington D.C. and applying a weighted rank to each. The weighted rank pulls the beer toward the list's average based on the number of ratings it has and aims to allow lesser-known beers to increase in rank. Only beers with at least 10 rankings to be considered; we took it a step further to only include beers with at least 100 user rankings in our gallery. Keep reading to find out what the best beer is in each of the 50 states and Washington D.C.
