Kids are already getting their Halloween costumes ready for the spooky holiday, but trick-or-treaters in Oklahoma may want to consider having different accessories available, like a jacket, maybe an umbrella or possibly a handheld fan. There's several different conflicting extended forecasts for Halloween, so we may not know what's needed for trick-or-treating till the day-of!

Currently, Oklahoma is experiencing a dry and above average warm October. All that might change soon with multiple cold fronts that are expected to bring in severe storms and cooler temperatures. But some are expecting the warmth and dry spell to continue through the end of the month.

This summer, the Farmers' Almanac released its extended forecast for fall, and included a specific prediction for Halloween. And for Oklahoma, the Farmers' Almanac is expecting Halloween to be wet, but with clearing skies.

Some local meteorologists are already expecting a chilly Halloween for Oklahoma. Meteorologist Mike Collier is expecting a big cold front to impact Oklahoma, making temperatures chilly for the entire state.
