Oklahoma barely saw a few drops of rain during the month of October, but Mother Nature has made up for it during the first few days of November. So much so that Oklahoma is already on track for breaking its tornado record for the month of November.

Oklahoma had a cool a dry Halloween before several days of rain infiltrated the state. As of Oct. 31, Oklahoma had received .34 inches of rain the entire month, which made it the ninth driest October in the state's history. And as of Monday, Nov. 4, almost every area of Oklahoma has surpassed October's rain totals. Some areas of Oklahoma have already received six inches of rain.

With all the rain, Oklahoma has also seen multiple tornadoes. As of Nov. 4, Oklahoma has received a total of six confirmed tornadoes, including two EF3 tornadoes, one EF2, two EF1 tornadoes and one EF0.

More possible tornadoes are still being investigated by the National Weather Service and other professionals.

Oklahoma close to breaking November tornado record.

According to the Oklahoma Mesonet, Oklahoma is already halfway to setting the record for the number of tornadoes in November. The current record is 12 confirmed tornadoes in the month of November in Oklahoma, which was set in 1958.

More rain and tornadoes expected in Oklahoma.

Oklahomans were already waking up to more severe weather on Monday morning. Some areas had tornado warnings as early as 4 a.m. More severe weather and tornadoes are expected throughout the afternoon on Monday, so Oklahomans are urged to remain weather weather aware. Hazards include flooding, damaging winds, large hail and a medium risk for tornadoes.
