I hope no one else got to work this morning and forgot something in their car like I did. I'm dreading running out there and getting soaked. And it doesn't look like the rain will be letting up for Oklahoma anytime soon.

All day yesterday the sky looked like it wanted to pour down rain. We got a few sprinkles here and there, but nothing like the local weather teams had predicted. But the rains finally came overnight and Oklahomans woke up with heavy rain and a few rumbles of thunder.

Rain is expected to continue throughout the day and into midday Thursday. Various areas of Oklahoma could see anywhere from 1.5 to 3 inches of rain.

Oklahomans can never rule out severe weather!

As per usual with spring weather in Oklahoma, we can never rule out a severe thunderstorm or two. Areas south of I-40 in Oklahoma have a marginal chance of severe thunderstorms that could include up to golf bail size hail and wind speed up to 60 miles per hour. The tornado threat is "very low," but still, can't be ruled out 100 percent.
