
Service Oklahoma Extends Hours as REAL ID Deadline Approaches
A month is left for Oklahomans to get a REAL ID before the federal deadline of May 7. To help Oklahoma residents, Service Oklahoma has extended its hours and will open on weekends at some locations for REAL ID appointments.
Start May 7, residents of the United States must have a Real ID to board domestic flights, access military bases and enter certain federal buildings. If residents do not have a REAL ID by this date, they will be required to use a valid U.S. passport or another federally approved form of identification.
As of April 7, select Service Oklahoma locations will be open from 6-8 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays by appointment only. These locations include the following:
- Chickasha - 1701 Frisco Ave
- Hinton - 1802 N Broadway St
- Muskogee - 1806 N York St
- OKC Classen - 6015 N Classen Blvd, Building 4
- Tulsa Eastgate - 14002 E 21st St
- Stillwater - 701 East 12th Ave
Residents are encouraged to make an appointment online to guarantee that they will be seen after hours on Mondays and Wednesdays at the above locations.
Other locations across Oklahoma will offer extended hours on Saturdays for appointments. The following locations will be open from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays now through October:
- OKC Classen - 6015 N Classen Blvd, Building 4
- OKC I-240 - 728 E Interstate 240 Service Rd
- Tulsa Eastgate - 14002 E 21st Street
- Broken Arrow - 1635 S Main St
Residents do not have to have an appointment to visit these Service Oklahoma locations on Saturdays. But residents can join the waitlist online before arrival.
Oklahomans need multiple documents to apply for a REAL ID.
Residents of Oklahoma who are planning on applying for a REAL ID will need to make sure they have the required documents before visiting a Service Oklahoma locations. Below are the documents and information Oklahomans will need to apply for a REAL ID:
- One Proof of Identity - birth certificate or unexpired passport
- Two Proofs of Oklahoma Residency - utility bill or voter registration card
- Social Security Number - physical card not required
- Driver Education Completion Certificate - if applicable
- Name Change Document - if applicable
- Immigration or Legal Presence Documents - if applicable
