There's been a rumor going around town that the City is considering purchasing the old Lawtonian Apartment building next to the Central Plaza in downtown Lawton. Some say it would be used in conjunction with FISTA.

Sadly there are more store closings at Lawton's Central Plaza. It seems more and more retailers are exiting the old mall and either opening elsewhere or leaving completely. Find out what stores have just packed up and left.

The annual Lawton, Fort Sill Armed Forces Day parade returns on Saturday, May 21st (05-21-22). The Lawton, Fort SIll Chamber of Commerce along with the Lawton, Fort Sill Convention & Visitors Bureau just officially announced the parade for 2022.

You may, or may not have heard all the rumors about Chick-Fil-A in the Central Plaza in downtown Lawton closing down, but it's true. Sadly they'll be closing this Friday (12-31-21) permanently. Time is running out and so is the food so if you haven't said your goodbyes yet you'll want to stop by ASAP while you still can.

This Sunday, December 19th (12-19-21) at Central Plaza in downtown the Lawton Academy of Music will be performing live in the center court helping to spread a little holiday cheer.

"You better watch out, you better not cry, you better not pout, I'm telling you why Santa Claus is coming to town!" That's right the man in red will be coming to Lawton, Fort Sill to the Central Plaza in downtown Lawton.
