It seems that we have become immune to the word COVID. I know that when I hear it I just think, 'I've been vaccinated, and boosters, so I don't have to really worry about that.'
So now that the FDA has fully approved the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine does that change your thoughts on getting vaccinated? A lot of people were waiting for the FDA's approval before they got their vaccinations. So how about you?
I had been warned, repeatedly that the second COVID-19 vaccination was rough when compared to the first one. In my normal devil may care, you don't know what you're talking about fashion, I completely ignored the warnings and I'm paying the price for that now.
Coming up this Wednesday, May 12th (05-12-21) the CCHD (Comanche County Health Department) will be hosting a drive thru COVID-19 vaccination event at the Great Plains Coliseum located at 920 South Sheridan Road from 8:00am until 6:00pm. You can just pull in and get your shot and no appointment is necessary. All persons that are age 16 plus are eligible. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to get vaccinated.
This past week the CCHD (Comanche County Health Department) has been on the move helping the Lawton, Fort Sill community get their COVID-19 vaccinations. Maybe you've seen the pop-up mobile vaccination clinics around town, or went to one yourself.
Coming up this Monday, April 19th (04-19-21) the Lawton Family YMCA located at 5 S.W. 5th Street in downtown Lawton will be hosting a FREE COVID-19 vaccination clinic from 9:00am until 11:00am. No appointments or prior reservations are needed, it's a FREE walk in clinic to all those you are wanting to get vaccinated and everyone's welcome.
