Snow Possible On Thanksgiving In Oklahoma
November in Oklahoma this year has been full of torrential downpours, record amounts of tornadoes and, surprisingly, seasonable temperatures. Now it looks like Oklahoma could add snow to that list of weather events for the month as the chances for snow are increasing for Thanksgiving.
A cold front is beginning to blow through Oklahoma on Tuesday, Nov. 19. Areas of the panhandle are already experiencing low temperatures with high temperatures in the 40s. The rest of Oklahoma will continue to see temperatures in the 50s and 60s.
For the rest of the week, Oklahoma will be sunny with seasonable temperatures. After the cold front moves through, daytime highs will be in the 60s with overnight lows in the 30s. But as we get into the week of Thanksgiving, Oklahoma will warm up slightly before the next system blows through.

Thanksgiving has been expected to be chilly in Oklahoma this year, but the possibility for snow is new. Oklahoma has had several snowy Thanksgivings, so this possibility isn't technically anything new. But the possibility for snow may alter the travel plans for some Oklahomans.
According to the Oklahoma Mesonet's Nov. 19 ticker, the latest future track for Oklahoma from Nov. 19-27, snow chances increase across most of Oklahoma. Some areas could see up to four inches of snow.
It's still too far out for any guarantees for snow on Thanksgiving in Oklahoma. Between now and then, these now chances for Thanksgiving could either increase or disappear!
