Townsquare Pet Patrol
There are many organizations throughout Southwest Oklahoma dedicated to pets and pet adoptions. From shelters to foster and adoption groups, there are many different options when you are looking to add a new four-legged member to your family.
Every week Townsquare's Pet Patrol will be highlighting adoptable pets from throughout the Southwest Oklahoma area, hoping to find furr-ever homes for shelter pets from throughout the region.
This week we are highlighting animals from 8 shelters, and hope to add more as momentum builds for this project. We will also be featuring information on upcoming events at our local shelters, as well as bringing you information on upcoming fund raising activities for these organization.
Please remember to spay and neuter your pets, and of course to adopt, not shop!

We would like to introduce everyone to Boomer this week!
Boomer is about 2 years old and is a Pit Bull Terrier mix who came to us after his owner died. He is absolutely a "gentleman's dog" and is gentle, well-behaved and very eager to please. We are just so very impressed with this dog! He is excellent on a leash, looks to his Person for guidance on what he needs to be doing, loves children, gets along with other dogs and appears to be house-trained. What else is there to say?
Boomer is neutered, tested negative for heart worms, has been fully vaccinated, de-wormed, treated for ticks and fleas and is ready for a home of his own. Need a little bit more incentive? His adoption fee is only $50!! Contact SCHS at 580-252-7387 for more information about this beautiful dog.

This week, we'd like everyone to meet Prince, a small to medium size 6 month old puppy, around 30 lbs. And don't worry, he is almost full grown, andwon't get much bigger. Prince was found running the streets and was taken into our program only to find out he had parvo. But our little guy is a true survivor! Through the parvo and all he hasn't lost his spunk in the least!
Prince is a quick student. He can now play fetch like a champ and is picking up on basic commands quickly. He would love nothing more than to be your companion and shadow! Although, he does know how to be independent when you're busy. This little guy is as goofy and loving as they come! Just look at those ears!
Prince has been with us since he was 10 weeks old.. This little guy could really use a chance at a furrrever home. He is fixed, utd on shots, and microchipped and ready to go! If you'd like to meet Prince, please contact Brandi at 580 483-4028.

This sweetie is Ida Mae. She loves to give kisses and get tummy rubs. She also loves long walks and car rides. She loves all people but because sometimes still gets a little too excited and jumps to show her excitement, so smaller children are probably not a good idea. Ida Mae also loves other dogs, but is not so fond of cats.
Ida absolutely adores her toys, but she is very hard on them. Her dream family will love to take long walks and car rides, have time to run and play, and have lots and lots of super tough toys.
Ida Mae is house broken and loves when you come outside with me. Her adoption fee is $140.00 and she comes with age appropriate up to date shots, she is heart worm negative and has been on monthly heart worm preventative and tick and flea preventative. Ida Mae is also spayed and microchipped. The rescue pays for chip activation and up to one year of monitoring. She also comes with 30 days of free veterinary insurance. If you are interested in Ida Mae or in seeing any of our other companions, please message Rainbow Bridge Can Wait on Facebook or Petfinder. Thank you.

Say hello to Bella. This little girl hasn't been taken care of. She is a chocolate lab approximately 6 months old. It appears she hasn't had a home for a while. You can see her ribs and her hair is dull. She is very loving, friendly and scared.
What Bella needs most is a family to take care of her. She is young enough that she wouldn't have problems with other dogs or maybe even cats. She is definitely people and kid friendly. She will need a large area to run in. If anyone can give her a good forever home where she is fed, safe and loved, please call the Carnegie Animal Shelter at 580-682-9073.
Carnegie Animal Shelter - 580 682-9073
This is Branson. He is an unneutered male collie mix. He is approximately 2 years to 4 years old. He is friendly and affectionate and is in desperate need of a good home.
We are in desperate need for Branson to find a home, even if it is just temporary. Carnegie Animal Shelter is trying to get him on a rescue flight, but cannot find one for him until March 25th. Carnegie has a time limit on dogs, and this wonderful boy has only until Friday to find a home, even if it just a foster home to take care of him until the rescue flight later in the month.
If anyone can welcome into their home, even for just a short time, I'm sure he would be grateful to finally have a stable home. Please call Sherry at 580-682-9073 if you would like to come out and meet him. He only has until Mar. 3 to find a home.

Hello, my name is Peaches. I was surrendered by my human, but til today I don't know what I did wrong to deserve to be send to doggy jail.
I am a only 6 month old beautiful Red Heeler-Husky Mix girl and I received all my immunizations last week at the Happy Hollow Animal Hospital. I am a playful puppy and I love other dogs. I like to play with children of all ages but sometimes I forget that the little kids have only two wiggle legs and not four. I don't know if I like cats but I sure will give them a try.
Did I mention that I love running?
If you like to adopt or foster me, please send the shelter a message or call/text (580) 919-5117 to set up a meeting with me. Again, my name is Peaches and I am looking forward meeting you very soon.
