Townsquare Pet Patrol
This week we begin a brand new feature, highlighting adoptable pets from throughout the Southwest Oklahoma area, hoping to find furr-ever homes for shelter pets from throughout the region.
We begin this week by highlighting animals from 8 shelters, and we are hoping to add more as momentum builds for this project. We will also be featuring information on upcoming events at our local shelters, as well as bringing you information on upcoming fund raising activities for these organization.
Please remember to spay and neuter your pets, and of course to adopt, not shop!
UPCOMING EVENTS
The Ft. Sill Veterinary Clinic will be hosting an open house and adoptathon this Saturday from 10 am to noon. The Clinic is at 721 Macomb Rd on post.
Rainbow Bridge Can Wait is currently conducting a fundraiser for "Justice For Janice". Janice is a sweet pit mix that was adopted out of Rainbow Bridge 2 years ago and was submitted to horrible mistreatment, beaten with a baseball bat, and eventually abandoned at a dog park. The fundraiser is attempting to raise money to help defer some, if not all, of Janice's medical costs.

Oakley is a 9 month old Shepherd mix with a lot of puppy energy that needs to be harnessed. She is also very, very smart and already knows Sit and No. She also knows all about treats, toys and pet beds. in short, Oakley is a sweet girl with enormous potential!
An ideal home for Oakley would be one where she is an involved member of the family, with lots of time to play and romp. Going on hikes or walks, running errands, etc. .. any opportunity to be around people and show off her beauty and intelligence would be ideal for this beautiful girl!

Hi my name is BooBoo, I'm a 3 year old, neutered male Chihuahua mix, and had my Parvo-Distemper Shot and my Rabies shot. I love kids and I get along with other dogs, I also like to just crawl up in your lap and get lots of loving.
I'm in foster care right now and as much as I love it here I need my own family. My other family didn't want me anymore so FRIENDS FUR CHANGE took me in. If you want to give me a loving home please call Bobbie at 405-245-6932

Dallas is everybody's best friend and will play for hours. He's a happy and healthy pup looking for a loving forever home to call his own! The mother is a blue healer but we don't know much about the dad...he is believed to be a Catahoula. As long as he knows where the doggie door is Dallas will go outside to potty! He does great with other dogs and doesn't mind cats. He is a ball of energy so he will do best in an active family. Dallas is now almost 5 months old and the last of a litter of 8, it is Dallas' turn to find that forever home. Reach out to us for more information and how you can take this cutie home!

Rainbow Bridge Can Wait - 580 919-0439
Willie is a very happy, wiggly dog with a great deal of energy. He is a shepherd lab mix and at just over a year old is an ideal jogging or running partner. He is a jumper so a six foot tall fence is a must. He loves kids and other animals although at times he just doesn't seem to realize how big he is so caution needed with smaller children. While he is not a fan of the kennel he has no accidents in there nor in the house.
Willie loves to play with toys and run and jump. He would do well with someone who is firm and has the time and love to give him. His adoption fee is $200.00. That includes age appropriate vaccinations, micro chip activated for up to a year, neuter, tested heart worm negative and kept on heart worm, flea, and tick preventative monthly. He also comes with thirty days of free vet insurance as long as it is activated by the adopter.
