Vince Gill Wasn't First Choice for 'The Heart Won't Lie'

I was so surprised to find out that Vince Gill was not the first choice for this song! He is a perfect fit!

The song 'The Heart Won't Lie' was originally planned as a duet with Kenny Rogers, but his voice didn't really mesh well with Reba's and they just couldn't make it work. Fast forward and Reba is planning a new record and remembers the song. She checks with Kenny and he gives her the song.

Co producer Tony Brown suggests that Vince Gill sing a couple of verses rather than just the background vocals that was originally planned. The result was a Reba/Vince duet and an amazing video! (Don't remind Vince of the 4 day video shoot though! He wasn't too thrilled with that part!)
