Visiting FNA Firehouse & Midwest Street Cars in OKC
This past weekend the wife and I celebrated our 28th wedding anniversary by making a trip to OKC to visit FNA Firehouse and Midwest Street Cars. If you watch Street Outlaws on Discovery Channel you know exactly what I'm talking about. We're both BIG FANS of the 405 and couldn't think of a better way to spend the day together. I'm a lucky, lucky man.
Our first stop was at FNA Firehouse home of the dynamic duo, Farmtruck and AZN. We had a great time walking around, getting photos and checking out all the things we'd seen on Street Outlaws. The bowling ball canon, call out box, the Caddy seat and even the Farmbird was there! Of course we hit the walk up store and got shirts, hoodies and other FNA merch. The main store was closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but they had a really cool walk up counter set up where you could browse and purchase things.
We had the best time looking around and talking with the guy behind the counter running the walk up. He was incredibly nice and of course is a fan himself. So he didn't laugh too hard when I started geeking out over every little thing and asking a million questions. If you've never been and you're a fan of Farmtruck and AZN you have to go, it's awesome!
Farmtruck and AZN are busy with their new show Street Outlaws: Farmtruck & AZN on Discovery. Plus from what we're hearing the 405 are back on the streets, so I'm sure we'll see some fishin' on the upcoming season of Street Outlaws as well. We just saw a pick of Daddy Dave and Goliath on the streets on Farmtruck and Azn's official Facebook page. It'll be great to see the 405 back in action and the list battling it out once more.
Street Outlaws: FNA Firehouse & Midwest Street Cars
After our trip to FNA Firehouse we had to stop by Midwest Street Cars, home of Big Chief and The Crow. It's wild to see the shop and everything you've seen on TV in real life. The shop itself was closed, but their offices and gift shop were open so we headed in and got our merch on. They had all kinds of cool stuff from shirts, stickers, hoodies and posters. The staff were great and didn't mind playing 20 questions with me as I gleefully grabbed up t-shirts and other MWSC/Crow merch.
I hope to see the 405 back on Street Outlaws in the next season, in the meantime Street Outlaws: No Prep Kings will be in Ennis, (near Dallas) Texas at Texas Motorplex on Friday and Saturday November 13th and 14th 2020 (11-13-20 & 11-14-20). That will be the next closest date and location to us. Maybe I'll get an early Christmas present and hit the track.
We'll definitely be back and will be visiting both shops for more merch and to see more of the 405 cars up close. I have to see The Crow up close and personal and would love to see Farmtruck and the Dung Beetle in person. After the shop tours we headed to Zio's Italian Kitchen for some lunch then went to OKC Outlets. Before we headed home we had to stop at H&H Shooting Sports for a quick look and around and to grab some ammo. All in all the wife and I had a fantastic 28th anniversary. looking forward to our next trip to OKC.
