You'd think fall was just around the corner with all of the fall and Halloween decorations hitting store shelves in Oklahoma. But, unfortunately, we're still in the deep of summer, and there isn't any sign of fall in the upcoming forecasts.

Today, Friday, August 11, is going to be another hot day with some areas of Oklahoma getting a heat index of up to 115 degrees. Now that's just disgusting heat.

Real temperatures will, of course, get up to over 100, but the heat index itself will make you feel like you're in an oven or a tanning bed with no way out.

We'll have grueling weekend of heat. According to the Oklahoma Mesonet, we'll have a "pressure cooker of a weekend" before a cool down comes through Monday, August 14, but that "relief" won't last long as we'll be back in to the 100s.

The rest of August will be HOT in Oklahoma.

Don't pull out those fall clothes or Halloween decorations just yet. Even though Starbucks will probably bring back its pumpkin spice latte in late August, Oklahoma is expected to have a warmer than normal, and possibly drier than normal, August. According to the Oklahoma Mesonet, some cold fronts might slip through here and there to give Oklahoma some relief from the oppressive heat.

Oklahoma won't cool down till possibly Halloween.

What's scarier is that Oklahoma could see a very warm September with no cooling off in sight until October. According to the Oklahoma Mesonet, we won't have a guarantee of a cooldown until Halloween. Will it be 100-degree days up until spooky season? It might not be that hot, but it will definitely be unseasonably warm till then.
