
Oklahoma Braces For Another Round Of Freezing Temperatures
After a weekend of ice, snow and below freezing temperatures, Oklahoma will barely warm up before the second round of arctic air. Oklahoma is expected to receive another cold front before the end of the week that will bring temperatures back to below freezing.
Roads across the state are snow packed and slick and hazardous due to two days of winter precipitation. And the temperatures remaining below freezing will keep road conditions from improving. This unimproved road conditions have also caused closures to extend into Tuesday, Jan. 27.
Oklahoma may get above freezing by Tuesday afternoon.
Oklahoma may not see temperatures above freezing until Tuesday afternoon. And temperatures by Wednesday and Thursday could get into the upper 30s and mid 40s. However, overnight lows will remain well below freezing, so roads may still be impacted by refreezing of melted snow/ice and black ice.
More arctic air will settle into Oklahoma over the weekend.
Another cold front is expected to arrive in Oklahoma before the end of the week, and it will send temperatures back into arctic levels. On Friday and Saturday, portions of Oklahoma will see daytime highs at or below freezing.
Wind chills are expected to be even colder Friday and Saturday. By Saturday morning, the Tulsa area could see wind chills at negative 10. The rest of Oklahoma may see wind chills in the single digits.

No snow or ice is expected in Oklahoma next weekend.
Even though it will get cold again, Oklahoma is not expected to see any ice or snow this coming weekend with the cold front. However, a few flurries can't be ruled out.
